Dine with "Next Gen" Carneros Winemakers at All-Lamb Dinner Kicking Off 3rd Annual Carneros Heritage Fest

Carneros Heritage Fest 2008CARNEROS, CA (April 24, 2008): Eight "next generation" Carneros winemakers will kick-off the 3rd Annual Carneros Heritage Fest by hosting eight tables at a special all-lamb, multi-course dinner -- for only 80 guests -- on May 30. The event will pair the wines of the featured winemakers with sumptuous cuisine created and prepared by Executive Chef Jeff Jake of The Carneros Inn at the Inn's Hilltop Restaurant. The dinner marks the launch of the Carneros appellation's annual celebration of its history and namesake ("Los Carneros" means "the Ram" in Spanish).

"Dave Dobson left a position where he turned around a merlot producer once better known for its architecture, artwork and site than its wine. And he joined another winery that makes excellent wine, but is still better known locally for its architecture and location, in addition to a wine it no longer makes. When the winery now called Artesa opened in Carneros Valley as Codorniu Napa in 1991, it was dedicated to producing mid-market méthode champenoise sparkling wine to compete with Domaine Chandon, Mumm and other French and Spanish producers who’d opened wineries in California. Though it was recognized for excellent wine, Codorniu Napa was more acclaimed for its innovative architecture designed to fit its hilltop site in Carneros..."

CARNEROS, CA (April 8, 2008): Tickets are now on sale for the 3rd ANNUAL CARNEROS HERITAGE FEST -- Wines, Vines, Woolies & Wetlands -- on Saturday, May 31 from Noon to 4 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Carneros Land Stewardship Foundation, which is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of habitat in the San Pablo Bay wetlands adjacent to the Carneros region.

3rd Annual Carneros Heritage Fest: A Celebration of the Carneros Region Featuring Premium Wines, Food and Wildlife, May 31

CARNEROS, CA (February 20, 2008): Mark your calendars for the 3rd ANNUAL CARNEROS HERITAGE FEST on May 31. The Carneros Wine Alliance will host a celebration of the wines, heritage and distinctive qualities of the Carneros region's products, culture and character. The Fest will feature the Carneros Lamb BBQ, tastings of Carneros Wine Alliance Premium and Ultra Premium Wines, a young chef competition, musical entertainment, sheepherding and falconry demonstrations, vineyard tours, environmental and sustainable agriculture exhibits.
